The Heart’s Gentle Canvas

In the hush of night, when the world holds its breath,
A tiny heart beats softly, in the cradle of warmth,
With each gentle sigh, dreams dance in the air,
A mother wraps her love in a blanket of care.
Lilac light spills in through the window's embrace,
Kisses the soft curls, the delicate face,
With fingers like petals, she brushes away,
The worries of tomorrow, the trials of the day.
Oh, sweet little creature, so tender, so new,
In your sleepy cocoon, the universe’s hue,
A symphony whispers through soft, tranquil air,
As the heart of a mother lays bare, ever bare.
Each coo is a lullaby, each giggle a song,
Her heart learned the rhythm, where love can’t go wrong,
With every soft whimper, she leaps from her dreams,
To cradle the essence of hope that redeems.
Yet, shadows sometimes gather, unkind and unbidden,
In moments of midnight, the fears are seldom hidden,
“What if I falter? What if I stray?
What if the world doesn’t welcome my way?”
But there in the stillness, wrapped tight in her arms,
Is a magic that blossoms, is a shield from all harms,
For in the gaze of that child, innocent and pure,
Lies the promise of love, forever, secure.
Time weaves its tapestry, bright threads and some gray,
Days slip through fingers in a bittersweet play,
But oh the laughter that echoes and shines,
As the bond grows deeper through the passage of time.
To cradle a future in a heart that can feel,
To kiss away sorrows with a love that is real,
With every sweet moment, with every small tear,
A mother holds on, roots deep and sincere.
So let the days tumble, let the years slowly race,
In the garden of motherhood, they find their own place,
For the love of a mother, in its wild, tender way,
Is a melody lasting long after they play.
In the still of the night, when all dreams entwine,
A mother and baby, together they shine,
In each breath shared softly, through joy and through strife,
Is the story that echoes, the essence of life.

Sharing a poem I created about Motherhood and some of the moments of BLISS.
