Reflections of a Mother’s Heart

In the whirl of toys, a cacophony sings,

With Lego towers and princesses in flings,

Amidst the chaos, my heart learns to know,

The beauty in patience, the love that will grow.

Sticky little fingers, wide eyes full of gleam,

Chasing the moments, like fragments of dream,

Cups spill like secrets, crayons color the floor,

Yet in every tangle, I find something more.

Whispers of laughter, a symphony sweet,

The pounding of feet, when they hurry to greet,

In the chaos I wander, through rumbles and cries,

I discover the magic in truth of their eyes.

For it’s not just the tantrums, the chaos, the mess,

But the tenderness wreathed in each moment’s success,

A quiet connection in the night’s gentle pause,

When I’m seen as their anchor, the heart of their cause.

In baking the cookies, in stories at night,

Through battles of bedtime, in soft morning light,

My essence is woven in every frail thread,

Each heartbeat a testament, love’s language unsaid.

Not just in the tasks or the roles I fulfill,

But in knowing they see me, through chaos and will,

A mother emerging from the whirlpool of days,

Both a patient navigator and wild child ablaze.

So let the world spin with its unyielding pace,

In this dance of affection, I’ve found my true place,

A tapestry woven of laughter and strife,

In the chaos of motherhood, I’m seen, I am life.

Patience, adapting to change, being present…motherhood.
